Which tools does the Veritaset connector offer?
The MCP server at https://veritaset.com/mcp (streamable HTTP) offers 7 tools. 6 only read published data; rate_veritaset is the only one that writes, and it writes a rating, never personal data. There is no account and no sign-in, and the connector takes no user data: only the numbers and options of a question (data, minutes, days abroad, speed, budget, market).

Every data answer carries its source link, check date, the method version and the disclosure line. Prices are in each market's own currency; US prices are mostly before sales tax and fees, and each record says which. The United States is in preview, verification in progress; Canada is not covered.
How many calls can an assistant make?
60 tool calls a minute per client without a key; 600 a minute with an API key or from a verified AI assistant. Over the limit, the server answers HTTP 429 with retry-after: 60 and JSON-RPC error -32029. The limit counts only tools/call; initialize, tools/list and ping are not limited.
Do I need an API key?
No. The connector is free and works without a key. Bulk partners and directory reviewers can get a key at data@veritaset.com and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key> or x-api-key: <key>. A wrong key is refused with HTTP 401 and error -32001; leave the header out to use the free connector.

What does Veritaset keep from a call?
No account, no user data. We keep the question's numbers and options without any identifier, and anonymous counts of which results were clicked. We never use them to train AI models and never sell them. Questions sent through Meta's Muse assistant are kept separately and deleted after 90 days. Details: privacy.
